- The majority of the books, e-books, and audiobooks are ordered through Follett Titlewave (titlewave.com) with district library funds.
- Titlewave is a great source for books because it provides numerous book reviews for each title.
- Create a book list on Titlewave and add books to the list. I usually make a book list for each month of the year, then if I see books that aren’t going to be released until later in the year, I can put them in the order for the month they will be released.
- I usually have Follett do the processing for all books.
- After you have a list ready to be purchased, print a quote and also save the quote to be attached to a Skyward order.
- If the amount is less than $500, you can purchase using the P-card. I usually do Titlewave orders through Skyward unless I am using Book Fair/Fine funds to pay for the order.
- Create a Skyward requisition. Attach the quote to the order. The fund numbers for purchasing are as follows:
- District library funds: 0050
- Legislative funds: 5810
- After the books arrive, the batch of MARC records for the order can be downloaded from Titlewave under Order History > MARC Downloads.
